It really is, black and white(no gray area) When it comes to good vs bad.

I've seriously pondered that thought lately. Looking at the world we all see from wherever we live (in it).

Ever since our withdrawl from Afghanistan as a country. (Ending what was our longest war to date) The billions spent and our men and women's sacrifices, from the beginning to the end.

Unfortunately with our election process and the changing of leaders (presidents) every so often, it really can mess things up: The process of completion.

Clearly, we had attempted to "change" and democratize, that country.  We should have quickly learned, not every people of every country can change and or accept this (America's) way of life.

Not all have been subdued long enough to really push back with the fiercest of determination either. (Without any doubt, the people of Afghanistan do not wish to be controlled by the Taliban or a foreign occupier.)

What is very clear to me  Black/White:

There will always be those that want to be in or remain in power (control).  That is also true in the United States,  although more discreetly to a significant population in the country.   (Not all are fooled.)

We have people that are "mostly" a peaceful people in the world, and we have the opposite.

Certainly those mostly peaceful countries will defend the peace as well as freedom, with unwavering strength!  Look at the world we live and all of it's peoples inhabiting it.

Now observe for yourself, those that seek to remove others from existence or outright change who they are by force or indoctrination.

The countries that have leaders that selfishly desire to remain in power and or desire to create the specific path for their countrymen and women to follow, without the individuals own peaceful and by birth upon the earth; the given right to choose almost exclusively on their own.

The black and white or good verses evil is clear.  The side to choose in life is that clear to me, and if you ever thought there were a God and there were an  evil opposite?

It really becomes black and white.  Good is good and bad is bad.  If the direction your country is taking you is eventual or complete control?  You know where your alliances are at that point.

As our country had done over 200 years ago, and as people of your own country; the choice is truly yours.  Choose the good, over the evil.

Patience

Over the years, a lot is expected to be learned.  The old saying of "wisdom comes from old age"

Honestly, the patience you learn to acquire over time, simply helps you absorb everything in life at a desirable pace.  Many do get overwhelmed at all the complexities of life; especially many things we were never taught about, or even aware of.

Just think, if there were ever a 'Life manual';  the first lesson would surely be patience.
Don't get me wrong, for the majority; it is near impossible to think about or feel inside.

We live in a fast-paced society and we're used to everything being done, acquired or made in little time.

(I'm not even ready to discuss traffic or means of transportation, but as you know; it is a jungle out there when it comes to getting from point to B!)

Having seen enough to know; I do understand how much better I feel, having learned to be patient in almost everything I do regarding life.

Work, home, family(children) even your pets.  You really tend to be less stressed out, less worry and simply able to drop things at the end of your day more often, rather than issues carrying over into the new day ahead.

This saying:  'Fill that which is empty, empty that of which is full,  kinda comes to mind in that regard.

It also helps to allow yourself to let things be; of which you have no control over.  Having patience slows things down to a perspective that you can deal with right now, and one step at a time.
Being a person that was once quick to anger;(early 20's) I found a lot had to do with control issues, and my wanting to be in control of so many things.
Boy was I ever stressed and moody most of the time!  At a certain point, and reflecting back on parts of my life; I wanted to change.  I also knew I was potentially a better person, than who I was then.
What I first began with was being more patient, and certainly not worrying about those things I had no control over in my life.
It gradually melted away the negativity in my life.(This took nearly a decade to achieve!)
That's me though and you could succeed sooner than that.  Patience, in all you do. Oh and don't forget to think about choosing what is right.
We're all aware of that by age 10 at least and though we have a choice; doing what is right feels good in the long run, our conscience is clearer, and think about this:

When it comes to telling the truth; you don't have to remember very much!

Always be true to yourself, to others and don't forget the respect factor in life;
That whole, 'do unto other's'  saying.  Take it seriously.

You really have to desire a change in you, for the path to begin!
