Do you ever wonder why we call the president, "president"?
Or the Queen, "queen"? The officer, "officer"? Doctor, "doctor"? etc.
We call them that because it is their title, and what they attained in life. It certainly isn't who they are. It is role playing but in a different way. They do not have power over us, unless we give it to them.
Respectfully, we oblige and cooperate or address them as such. Same with a school teacher, drill instructor in the military (training) or the " maestro " (see Seinfeld sitcom for that one)
We, as individuals give them this respect and title, but always remember that is not who they are as an individual. They are no different than you or anyone else.
The ego makes them believe in that title as 'power' held over another. There is no power. Only respect. When power goes to their head (ego) You get a rebellious reaction that wants to " check" that power. (See society at large)
When you choose to guide and instruct from a "power base", instead of a more benevolent base: you get chaos.
So even siblings, parents (being a mom or dad) You're no different than those you're guiding. You're simply older, wiser. Sure, going to college, or intense training to become a Navy SEAL, or Army Ranger sets you apart but you're still the same as everyone else you may come across. It is your Ego that says: Look at me!
Pay closer attention to who you interact with going forward. You'll see that it is us that give them that power and us that can take it back. Simply by seeing them as another human being.
Peace may even come, when that is acknowledged on a global scale.
So be it~
