Over the years, a lot is expected to be learned. The old saying of "wisdom comes from old age"
You really have to desire a change in you, for the path to begin!
Like everything else on the earth, they have long survived and evolved.
Since those very beginnings; there had been no savior of one's self.
Only the entity(individual) was capable of changing their ways over the lifetime given. Your body was the vehicle in which your soul took control of to use, while here. To once again give the ongoing battle of "Ego vs. Conscience" another go. That constant struggle within of:
Good vs. bad.
Love vs. hate.
Right vs. wrong.
Life, over the taking of life (senseless killing or elimination of other living things)
The path to change, lies within and no one can save you.
You can only:
Save yourself
~From all of the distractions, temptations, (vices) addictions, obsessive behavior, or struggles within. No entity (Jesus) or other savior will come along and change it all for you someday. Especially if you did not understand their message. Jesus, for example; showed us by living, it himself.
It truly resides within YOU!
There are many ways to begin this path and personally I would start here.
Did you honestly believe that you were to begin and end, this Life, Here and now:
~the life you've lived since childhood; as a stubborn, possessive, controlling, aggressive, or otherwise individual? We are not robots. We can and do change our ways. Look at yourself? Are you at peace? Are you in control?
Good luck, on the rest of your journey ahead.
We may be culturally different; however what we are made of is the same.
Somewhere in time, it was learned or understood that to hold power; even over the largest populations of humans:
One must divide them; destroy or subdue to conquer. What better way to sow division?
Religions (Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Protestant, atheism) etc.
Race (Nationality; what different part of the earth's, many lands of which one has been born upon)
Politics (Democrat, republican, libertarian, independent, conservative) etc.
Sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, even NASCAR) etc.
Status or 'classes' in society are clearly a division among us. We have lost ourselves in the haze of distractions and temptations. All that we were flooded with over the individual lifetimes, that essentially keep us unfocused. We rarely take time to discover what we are really here for.
What to do about it? Choose, between being "disciplined or undisciplined. "
Recognize the deception and manipulation. Take control, of who you are and where, you are going.
It really is, as simple as that. You choose.
Have you ever heard of reincarnation?
You will in a moment.
You all likely may not know it yet but one way to look at life is this:
Life is about learning, experiencing, creating and overall strengthening yourself into the highest part of your physical existence (human body).
I'm not referencing ego here.
It is about absorbing and balancing all that is good and bad in the physical world; in the end, simply doing what is right.
You are given all of the distractions, temptations and or vices; as obstacles along the way. Think of things such as drugs, pornography, alcohol, murder (death) and or stealing. All that which is wrong or bad.
It all isn't there for you to fall into(the trap), but rather to be a stumbling block or obstacle to overcome in your physical body.
To be aware of it all, and find your way(navigate) away from it's intense pull toward those things. Few can resist all the many temptations; all that leads you astray.
So what is hell?
Hell, is living 'a life' over and over and over, in different bodies until you finally get it right!
Thus, you have reincarnation. The cycle that continues all the way until you succeed in your own ascension, back to the "whole of you" in the universe.
To the infinite light of love. (Fact or fiction?) You decide.
when you drive 10-20 miles over the limit. When you pass another without using your signals. When you rush ahead of me just to exit off the ramp in front of us. When you ride up close to the rear of my vehicle or the one in front of you to try and intimidate the driver into getting out of your way. You're no different than anyone else. Look around! You are a copy or mirror image of the driver's or motorists all around you.
You're no different
The difference between you and me? I choose to be better. I choose to signal my intentions. I choose to drive within the posted speed or at the limit. I choose to be courteous and more patient than most. Yes in that aspect; I am better than you (if these words are what it takes to get you to take the challenge, and better yourself) It takes discipline. It takes restraint. It takes wanting to make it from A to B safely and not as fast as possible.
What is the point?
We both still get there and that is the goal. You're no different.
Time to change that in YOU
This great "connected" earth we live on today:
We got to where we are now;(not our very existence, but how we are living) by ourselves. No matter how you look at it.
We decide upon religion/faith or to be atheist.(spirituality) = division
We chose the teams in sports/ competitive events. = division
We decide on political parties or factions(control and structure.) = division
We choose our friends/ associates. (To be alone)
We chose the car or truck to drive(image)Where we live or decide to live without.
We decide what music to hear(what forms our thoughts)
We choose the things we see on television(what forms our thoughts)
We choose who we are in identity(how others see us) Clothing etc.
We choose to eat any or all foods, to be vegan/vegetarian or not to eat but rubish(unhealthy)
Out of all this; we created division among ourselves!
All chosen by what? "Free will" (Choice)
We can undo it all by choice.
So who is really in control?
We are, ourselves.
Ego VS. Conscience
What rules you?
From our creation of smart phones with all of their capabilities, to the television and every means of distraction it possesses. We are inundated with distractions.
Have you ever wondered why we celebrate holidays such as Christmas, the way we do today?
It is part of several that are primarily profit-driven. That is not bad in and of itself but when it becomes expected; that is where we are today. Not only that, but these holidays begin to consume our minds well before they are upon us. They tend to make us spend much effort, time and money.
Much in the pursuit of things we do not really need. Material things or candies and treats to gifts that often are not used for very long as far as children go. The children grow bored of most things after a while. Then it may be recycled to other children or it becomes waste in a landfill.
Consider religions, (Christianity having several holidays attached to it.) If you take a step back away from it all. Peel away the layers, you find the illusions of it all. It's main purpose, outside of making a profit is being a predictable and focused distraction for all who become 'identified' or attached to it.
Distract us from what? The bigger picture of life or the meaning of our lives. If you pay attention, you see that so much is part of a means of continual distractions. To direct our focus outward instead of inward. Within ourselves and what our purpose here, individually truly might be. Survive is what we first learn, and then to grow, achieve and maintain, but to what end?
Overall, most are attached to the material world and all that one may posess (materially) while you are here. A means of status in the world you live. Think of those depicted on television shows like 'Jersey Shore' or even 'Friends'. Both who you are, where you live and what you wear; look like or own is all apart of 'status'.
~Does anything go with us to the otherworld when we pass away (die)? Hmmm
Movies, shows or other programs are all a means of distraction as well as simple amusement. But it indeed goes futher than that.
How obsessed do some become with the music industry (rap, metal or rock music, to even country)? Obsessed with any new trend or 'what is in' at least for a time?
With entertainment such as the WWE; and actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger, you get men/women obsessed with their bodies. Thus you have gym memberships for all. Obsessed with an immaculate body. For who and to what end? That is great to achieve such levels with the human body however, But for society? Does our immaculate body or appearance remain for all time? No but there is a bit of personal gratitude in such feats or achievements.
Look closer at our obsession in the sports arena; basketball, football (America), soccer and baseball. All favorite past-times but also major parts of our focused distractions. Something our Ego becomes attached to, in a big way.
Other aspects such as the outdoor activities like skiing, both water and snow. ATV riding and hang gliding. All wonderful ways to enjoy the outdoor life, however it becomes a status symbol for many.
An obsession that is a magnifier of the ego; that is where it is no longer for leisure and recreation. It becomes related to that of the 'for-profit' industry. Overall, it has a purpose of distracting us besides simply an outlet or recreation.
Many are counting on the numbers (you) to be there so their profit remains. Wonderful; nothing wrong with that until you go into a city and you have four or five different chicken or hamburger places to eat from. Automobiles for sale galore and by the way; who is possibly buying them all? Ask yourself; why do we constantly feel we need new, or newer? Just a question (things to ponder) Think outside the impulses of life.
So many distractions and the pursuit of something other than what is found within
'inner peace'.
Life is an adventure for some, and for many others; they are trying to fit in.
So you have social media today: It speaks for itself.
How many children are affected in a positive way, as a result of social media?
Just keep in mind, you only need to make you happy. You need to function and survive, wherever you are in the world.. Start with the essential, basics of living. Plan out life beyond there and look inward, find out who you really are and ask yourself:
Are you in control?
Look at yourself and awaken. Discover life and yourself beyond the distractions meant to keep us from seeing the bigger picture in our lives. What matters to you, not to everyone around you.
I've found that looking at ways to help others, is far more rewarding than just pleasing yourself in this world. We all could learn and discover more!
Here in the real world, we are about survival (No matter where you are on the earth)
We are here to learn, discover and realize 'What is', life's purpose. Our purpose!
The reality seen today, has not improved from that of a few decades ago.
(When you measure the good versus bad) We are faced with more distractions and tempting thoughts or ideas. We are becoming more isolated within, although through this technology; we've never been more 'connected'.
More and more people wish to share their lives on social media, and what they oddly share, is the illusions of their lives.
Trying to show how good your life is to the world when in most cases, life is a tug of war between working and debt from your everyday and or monthly expenses to the unknown scare tactics on the horizon ( ie; viruses, terrorism, wars, to inflation and commodity hoarding) while attempting to make the most of the material world. All the things that you may physically acquire, for your happiness or status.
All the while, you feel there is something missing. You may wonder who and what really matters in your life (here and now). It isn't the few hundred or thousand followers or likes that you are seeking approval. It is not the people you pass on the way to work or at the grocery store.
Only you matter to you. Everything else, is your own "isolated ego", that seeks inflation as a collapsed balloon seeks air. It isn't a contest everyday to see how big we can inflate our isolated-ego, yet that is how most seem to live. We have days that do not go well. We have the usual days that things go relatively fine. Such is life; but in life, there are lessons, trials, hardships and happiness. Sadness to joy and tears to regret.
All that is a form of teaching, if we are going to pay attention. The anger or frustration is simply our isolated ego, not getting it's way. Let it go, let it be just another day.
No expectations, no distractions.
Some things occur beyond our control.
There is a time to search for the answers, but it may be some other day.
Just live, with no fear of falling or failing because you'll have to just get right back up. No expectations since no one really owes you anything!
However, the lessons in life; they are all yours to decipher. You and everyone around you or those you see; all are here until no longer here. In existence.
Good or bad, you know the answer. You have a choice. (FREE WILL)
You also accept whatever consequences in life.
Or gain the rewards of your actions.
Life is tough love(Do not complicate it unnecessarily)
Do not let others shelter you from experiencing that, 'tough love' in life.
Think outside the norms of society. It may very well be that you've been indoctrinated all along.
Trained to follow and not discover for yourself!
It resides within your hands!
You are in charge!
To clarify; you over the age of 18 years. You who feels or believes in your mind or heart that you can take on the weight of any such responsibility yourself.
You own your actions.
You own your thoughts.
You are the one that posesses the highways and bi-ways within your brain. Granted, there are things in the world and in life that can alter or affect a personal decision. Injuries to the brain are the least of our control.
What you get from the reading of books, watching with your eyes or experience from drugs or the altering 'drug' of the internet today; you still own!
Drinking alcohol; for any reason or any amount in your system. You may have had a forethought that "if I'm under the influence of alcohol, and I want to do this to her or that to him?, I can blame the alcohol. Wrong! You own it!
Unless you are under the age of 18 (in most countries) and or living at home. Or with extended family, friends or roommates. You have limitations to what you are in control of. (Outside your mind).
Don't like being in control? See options below.
Your actions or personal decisions can certainly change that for you and even others.
-Incarceration(jail, prison, detention)
-Boot camp (military basic and or extensive training)
-Religious institutions(groups or cults or any aspect thereof) For many; you subject yourself to that religion's rules or 'way of life'. Even when you may deep down feel it is against your inner being.
Going forward from today, just remember this: No one is making you do anything. You cannot use peer pressure, society or trends as an excuse. You cannot say you were forced too, unless directly held down with straps on a gurney or chair. Walking into a store to steal one or more items. Driving down the road with phone in hand (eyes upon it) after striking an individual, be it in the street or sidewalk. You own it!
You cannot say to the world, "I had such an awful life growing up, and that is why I am this way and have done what I've done".
Anything you could possibly imagine doing, when you know that somewhere in society it is frowned upon or against the law. You own it! (Being "woke" does not count, you people need to "rethink" what you are doing)
Go about your life and do what is just and right, morally speaking.
*Few cannot tell right from wrong and they are the only exception.
Change who you are for the better,(no excuses)
it's about time.
~In memory~
(Pat Tillman; 1976-2004) You lived life as a balanced man with ferocity and kindness. True to yourself!
The identity of a nation,
begins with borders that it can and Will defend.
The people within its borders love their country.
Many,
have generations of family before them, that have worked hard over the years to improve they're own lives as well as the strengthening of the country itself; simply by contributing as a working citizen.
Thousands, have chosen(in one way or another),a willingness to die for their country.
Very few have desired, that their country might fail someday.
The people of this (any) nation had never wanted a supreme leader of the land.
Only, a chosen individual selected every so often; to guide protect, sustain and keep the nation prosperous. (As in tribal lands of a country)
With Strength and Wisdom!
Not just for power and to maintain it.
Many, otherwise are spiritual. Believe in themselves and, maybe a God or entity unseen, yet felt from within.
They have a faith to achieve and overcome.
These people are willing to live among a blended array of other people from different backgrounds or nationalities; so long as we all love the country just the same. (Varying ethnicities; but otherwise a common belief and the will to remain and survive!)
Never has a country allowed to keep for very long, a poison (ideology) or cancer within its boundaries.
The likes of men or women that seek to destroy it from within; But instead, like a rotting tooth; it must be removed! All those who hold office in our country that either by action or words, seek to destroy it from within; (MUST BE REMOVED.) Our way isn't perfect but it is as close to perfect through trial and error; than any other, in the history of the earth.
A nation is Strong and Sustained by the people who love, and nourish it. (Grow and maintain)
So be it.
It had always been one of those "must see" destination cities in the U.S.
With all the lights, entertainment, casinos and otherwise exciting atmosphere; it is just another desert city that has thrived, and succeeded in a way to draw the masses toward her.
It has its dangers as well, as you might know. You can hardly walk away from there without, or already having a terrible vice(addiction) or several. Many can come and go without being as affected. Self control and restraint, must be a personal strength.
So many are fortunate to not have that experience overcome them in life, even at such a young age.
The dangers and outright overwhelming experience of so many things all at once. The temptations one can easily go through like the pages in a magazine. (If you are not a religious individual, by any means; surely you do know what is Good and Bad for you) No?
Today with the internet and all these 'smart phones' nearly everyone has access to, (children) teens and the elderly to the obvious. The internet and everything these phones have access to today, are one in the same with Las Vegas. You get all the risks, dangers, excitement, pleasure and abilities you may possess being in a city like it. It can and literally does take hold of you and soon, you are no longer in control. For nearly all; they are addicted to the phones and all these things they offer in our daily lives.
Sadly, few will break free of this intent need for the phone(mini computer with phone capability).
I challenge any of YOU, to break the addiction. Get back in control of your lives and back to the simplicity of life as it once, was; Before the phones of today. It is up to you.
Good luck,
The strong will prevail and survive.
