How did we get to where we are today?

Answer: 

By ourselves.  (With clever and hidden manipulation as well)

We chose what to wear in the morning, before work or school.

 (How others will see us)

Some of us chose the vehicle we are driving. 

Most of us chose the type of work we do. 

We chose what music to hear, television shows to watch(which news sources etc)

We choose our friends or who we associate or not associate with. 

We chose what we eat( Being vegan, vegetarian, or just eat to survive in general) 

We choose what beverages we consume, excessively or not. 

We choose the teams in sports( One against another) 

We chose our faith, religion or beliefs 

We chose democrat/republican or other. 

We choose to be active or lazy. 

In all these, we chose or were somehow influenced to be; over the days of our lives.

We're all different but we all have one true purpose: Make life work for us! 

Survive; we are only here until we are no longer here. It isn't a competition, or race to the end. 

Just live, day by day by week by month by year. 

                      Successful, or not, you simply need to be yourself! 

All the wonderful material things you may accumulate in life, does not go with you.

 The memory remains. WHATEVER THAT, will be.
