You are in charge!
To clarify; you over the age of 18 years. You who feels or believes in your mind or heart that you can take on the weight of any such responsibility yourself.
You own your actions.
You own your thoughts.
You are the one that posesses the highways and bi-ways within your brain. Granted, there are things in the world and in life that can alter or affect a personal decision. Injuries to the brain are the least of our control.
What you get from the reading of books, watching with your eyes or experience from drugs or the altering 'drug' of the internet today; you still own!
Drinking alcohol; for any reason or any amount in your system. You may have had a forethought that "if I'm under the influence of alcohol, and I want to do this to her or that to him?, I can blame the alcohol. Wrong! You own it!
Unless you are under the age of 18 (in most countries) and or living at home. Or with extended family, friends or roommates. You have limitations to what you are in control of. (Outside your mind).
Don't like being in control? See options below.
Your actions or personal decisions can certainly change that for you and even others.
-Incarceration(jail, prison, detention)
-Boot camp (military basic and or extensive training)
-Religious institutions(groups or cults or any aspect thereof) For many; you subject yourself to that religion's rules or 'way of life'. Even when you may deep down feel it is against your inner being.
Going forward from today, just remember this: No one is making you do anything. You cannot use peer pressure, society or trends as an excuse. You cannot say you were forced too, unless directly held down with straps on a gurney or chair. Walking into a store to steal one or more items. Driving down the road with phone in hand (eyes upon it) after striking an individual, be it in the street or sidewalk. You own it!
You cannot say to the world, "I had such an awful life growing up, and that is why I am this way and have done what I've done".
Anything you could possibly imagine doing, when you know that somewhere in society it is frowned upon or against the law. You own it! (Being "woke" does not count, you people need to "rethink" what you are doing)
Go about your life and do what is just and right, morally speaking.
*Few cannot tell right from wrong and they are the only exception.
Change who you are for the better,(no excuses)
it's about time.
~In memory~
(Pat Tillman; 1976-2004) You lived life as a balanced man with ferocity and kindness. True to yourself!

Be quite careful with what you do, as you may also find yourself in the 'cross hair's of no second chances'.
ReplyDeleteI do believe, certainly today since the completion of this trial in Georgia against those 3 individuals; you own the consequences of your decisions and your actions.
